    Label:

They chose a rather neat looking parrot for the label, giving one an idea of the geographical origin of the sauce...although the choice of muted colours used could be upgraded a bit. Reading all of the information randomly placed over the entire label adds some interest.

    Looks:

If ever a sauce looked rich, this is the one. A very consistent dark brown throughout, this sauce immediately makes one think of molasses. Adding to the appeal is the thickness, but, it still pours out evenly and does not get clogged at the neck.

    Aroma:

I get very little aroma from it, maybe only being to pick out a very slight hint of vinegar. Nothing too aggressive appears, which I suppose is a bit of a plus.

    Taste:

After reading the ingredient list, I was very disappointed with the mildness. It features multiple fruits which seemed to indicate sweetness...but, no. I could not pick out any of the individual ingredients at all and found it bland overall.

    Heat:

There is no heat to this sauce at all, even with the inclusion of cayenne.

    Overall:

I won't purchase this one again. I would use it only for a meal that requires a bit of added moisture. Most certainly, the strength of the sauce is in the appearance.

    Label:

Absolutely one of the best and most iconic labels in the industry. A favorite of mine for decades.

    Looks:

A-1 color and consistency, very smooth, Caribbean steak sauce is how I would characterize it.

    Aroma:

Wonderful, complex aroma, raisin, ginger, black pepper, all-spice.

    Taste:

Because this is one of my all-time favorite sauces I must give it a 5. the flavor is quite exotic, certainly representative of the Caribbean.

    Heat:

I consider this a steak sauce, not a hot sauce. Very little if any heat.

    Overall:

Even though this is my favorite steak sauce, I do wish it had some bite to it. It is the Jamaican A-1 in my book but much much better. Complex flavor, great as a marinade or a straight up steak sauce. i like to put it over cream cheese and dip crackers into it.
